Roxy was a RESCUE project. She was an older pony with and had been used as a

lesson pony, but the daily riding all day was getting to be too much for her.

When we arrived to pick her up to bring her home my husband was afraid she

wouldn't make it back to our home (it was a 10 hour trailer ride and she was in

bad shape as far as loss of weight, etc.). We made many stops to check on her

and once home got the horseshoer out and started with our treatment program.

Within a month she gained weight, got that gleam in her eye and boy can she still

run when she sees me coming with her grain~~we have her on Senior Grain which

she will be on for the rest of her life.  About once a month the grandkids come over

and ride about 30 minutes, Roxy is so gentle and well trained that they use only a

halter and lead rope for her. (Of course we are right there). I wish we had known

Roxy when she was in "her prime" but even for an "old gal" she's is pretty special.

We were very lucky to have known her from the winter of 2002 until the winter of 2004.

She will be missed greatly!
